Erika is a California native who graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006 with a B.A. in Sociology. She worked as a health educator for two years and gave lectures on various health topics. She has been tutoring and teaching the SAT verbal section, along with many other subjects, since 2008. She has been coaching college entrance essays since 2010. She has worked at several prestigious SAT and college prep academies, the most notable being Elite Educational Institute and College BluePrint. She has experience with students from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and learning abilities.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading and swing dancing.
